The audio anchor Tsjakkaa is used by Emile Ratelband to give his audience a powerful word to express the “Yes, I can do it’ energy. The gure got the yel from a series about the life of the Zulu leader Shaka who used his name to motivate his tribe to go to battle. The Tsjakkaa yel is spelled like ‘TSJAKKAA’ in The Netherlands, Germany and Engish speaking countries but Romanians will break their tongue over the word. We are helped by Zulu Shaka again because Tsjakkaa also may be spelled as Shaka or Chaka. If you take the last variation also the Romanian population will be able to pronounce the yes fonetically correct. So ‘CHAKKAA’ is will be!
The Zulu songs goes like this:
He is Shaka the unshakeable,
Thunderer-while-sitting, son of Menzi
He is the bird that preys on other birds,
The battle-axe that excels over other battle-axes in sharpness,
He is the long-strided pursuer, son of Ndaba,
Who pursued the sun and the moon.
He is the great hubbub like the rocks of Nkandla
Where elephants take shelter
When the heavens frown…
– Traditional Zulu praise song, English translation by Ezekiel Mphahlele
Emile Ratelband will be Romania starting from 22 january 2009 when the first seminar is scheduled to take place. Markus Vrieling, GM at Bastiaan Projects and initiator of the ‘Emile Ratelband in Romania’ project says: “We are very happy that we found Emile Ratelband willing to visit Romania for a series of seminars. We at Bastiaan projects believe that Romania needs Chakkaa (Tsjakkaa) more than ever as the country is making history with its growth and potential, yet still Romanians do not have this spirit of ‘Yes we Can Do It’. Still the politicians are blaimed to easily for everything taht goes wrong on does not owrk out. People have been programmed not do not take initiative to change by the old regime for 50 years and in their perception it will always be the political order that will keep on filling their own pockets rather than contributing to a better Romania. We are convinced that Chakkaa Romania could be the start for a higher concentration of ’Yes We Can Do It’ attitude resulting in better quality, higher efficiency and more pleasure in working and by that a Turn Around in the attitube of the average Romania citizen.”
